The Harmonic Service Group is committed to and specializes in publishing lesser-known music, both new and old, and at fair and affordable prices. In addition, you should never run into the phrase "out of print" as works are continuously available in original professional quality format. Composers who affiliate with us will find a tiered-service approach where monetary rewards are shared at different rates depending on defined levels of effort and specific services provided, leading to higher royalty income. Copyist services are also available on a limited basis to provide professional quality scores and parts to the general public. A powerful tone-picture of an Anasazi site on top of San Juan Mesa in New Mexico. Donald Appert: Nara Variations, for string orchestra. A highly rhythmic work of continuous variation technique inspired by the Japanese "3 beat song" ritual. Prism, a chromatically complex and multi-faceted rhythmic work for chamber orchestra. Joseph Wölfl, Piano Concerto, op. 64. Re-discovered and championed and performed by Jon Nakamatsu. These are new engravings. In an article entitled "Nakamatsu unearths a gem", the San Jose Mercury News wrote "...an elegant, ultra-classical work with up-tipping passage work for the piano and surging energy." Rimsky-Korsakoff, Symphony No. 1 in e minor. This 1884 revision of Rimsky's strongly tuneful Opus 1 work predates the exoticism of his more mature style. Our edition is a major clean-up of the existing 1884 publication reprints. Herb Gellis: Allegro Sauvage (2007), a fantasy pitting the "evil Sauvage" against the "good guys". A re-write of the original 1998 version, longer with expanded instrumentation, a new motif and new "scenes". Short Symphony, on Eastern modes. A four movement work that utilizes various scales and modes including the (Western) harmonic minor, and Arabic maqam scales, notably Nawa athar. The last movement uses fragments of the Hatikvah as the basis for constructing its content.
